Student 3D Printing Is Now Available
written by Alex Wang
BASA students who have participated in a past CAD camp, as well as students attending future CAD camps, can now submit their original designs for 3D printing.
We offer both traditional FDM printing and detailed resin printing. Our available materials include PLA, PETG, gray resin, and black resin. Depending on the design, size, and intended use of the part, our team will select or recommend the most appropriate printing method and material.
Student designs may be printed using our Bambu Lab X2D FDM printer or our donated Formlabs Form 4 resin printer. This gives students an opportunity to turn the models they create during or after CAD camp into physical objects.
Families will be charged only for the materials used. We will provide a quote for approval before beginning each print, so there will be no unexpected costs.
Requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to printer capacity, material availability, and the suitability of the submitted design.
